The Mobile Elevator Manager application provides internet, extranet, and wireless interfaces
to company information. It capitalizes on the on the remote nature of field employees in the
construction industry by taking advantage of the convenience and pervasiveness of mobile computing.
The application allows field employees to research past work performed on
jobs and equipment, order parts and tools, research equipment types,
search knowledge databases, and enter work performed for certain tasks - all
from a wireless device.
At the same time, the application allows office employees to research
past work performed, schedule delivery of parts and tools, maintain inventories,
dispatch repair calls, and track time reporting.
Lastly the application provides in interface for customers to view the work
history on their buildings and equipment.
